For businesses that are paid by customers abroad or pay suppliers abroad.

Who can apply

Sole traders, partnerships and companies of any size, except businesses connected with countries or jurisdictions we do not accept, and business types we do not accept (see AML, KYC and sanctions).

Clients use a business account to:

  • receive payments from customers abroad
  • pay suppliers, contractors and staff abroad
  • hold money in the currencies they trade in

What your account includes

  • Currency conversion. Convert between your balances at a fee of 2% of the amount converted.
  • Several users. Give each person who works on the account their own login.
  • Online platform. See your balances and payments, and download statements at any time.
  • Support. By email, Monday to Friday, 12:00–19:00 Anjouan time (UTC+3).

What your account does not include

  • No payment cards
  • No cash deposits or withdrawals
  • No interest on balances
  • No local payment schemes such as SEPA, UK Faster Payments or ACH; all payments are made by SWIFT
  • No overdrafts, credit or trade finance

How your account works

Your account is a sub-account in the NexusFinX platform, with its own account reference. Your balance is recorded separately in the platform.

The money itself is held, together with the money of other clients, in accounts in the name of NexusFinX at third-party banks. When a customer pays you, they pay into a NexusFinX account and quote your account reference. We then credit the payment to your account. Your payment details, including the reference to quote, are shown in the online platform.

Your customers and suppliers, and their banks, will see NexusFinX in the payment details. Tell them this before they pay you, so the payment is not delayed by questions.

Your money is not covered by any deposit protection scheme. Read the important information for what this means.

Keeping your account active

Your account needs at least one payment, in or out, every 12 months. If there is no payment for 12 months, your account becomes dormant. A dormant account is view-only: you can see your balance and statements, but you cannot make or receive payments. You then have two options: close the account and ask us by email to return your balance, which is free, or pay the account opening fee of USD 6,000 again to reactivate it.

What we ask for

We ask for information about your business, the people who own and control it, the people who will use the account, what the business does and where its money comes from. Requirements differ with the country and the type of business, so after you apply we send you a list that fits your situation.
